Alex Backes - Host

A veteran of the underground comedy scene, Alex has been working professionally in LA for the last 10 years. His original pilot, Shark Bites, blended a unique style of loosely scripted improvisation and grounded real characters in absurd situations. An aesthetic he championed while performing at theaters like The Second City, UCBLA and The Nerdist School.  Shark Bites' underground following ended up scoring Alex a development deal with The Walt Disney Company. In front of the camera credits include Amazon’s Good Girls Revolt, FOX’s, Ben and Kate and Surviving Jack, as well as countless commercial campaigns for companies like Apple, GameStop, and Nike. Currently in pre-production, Alex is preparing to co-direct his first feature film, Thunderlynx, which is expected to be released in late 2018.

Stephen Ellis - Host

Stephen Ellis has been working in front of as well as behind it in Los Angeles for the last 11 years. You may have seen him let it all hang out in a popular Guitar Hero 5 ad campaign or performing live comedy at The Second City Theater in Hollywood. When he's not talking Star Wars with Alex, he is producing television shows like The National Geographic Channel's Original Sin & Bravo's Andy Cohen's Then & Now

He currently lives in Burbank,  where he proudly displays his incredible collection of Episode 1: Taco Bell, Pizza Hut & KFC cup toppers.
